So, here's how the story goes. First, Ralph Lauren publishes a magazine ad with a female model inhumanly skinny. (Click the image.)
Ralphie catches flack.
Then, the model goes onto the Today Show and states that she was fired from her gig with RL for being "too fat." Keep in mind, Filippa Hamilton is 5'10'', 120 pounds.
And finally, Ralph Lauren retorts by vehemently denying the obscene allegations...
And, of course, that "finally" was for literary purposes -- we all know this will never be over. Even when poor Filippa disappears into obscurity, and the self-loathing Ralph Rueben Lifshitz makes his next bill.
