Hitchcock's Very First Film, "The White Shadow" from 1923 : First 30 minutes found in New Zealand can be seen in L.A.

Actress Betty Compson played 2 sisters with a good and a bad personality in Alfred Hitchcock's very first movie in 1923, The White Shadow. The movie was the very first film that Alfred Hitchcock worked on. His role was an assistant director, writer and editor.  Rumor has it that the director was threatened by Hitchcock and resented his involvement in the film The movie will re-premier on September 22, 2011 at the Samuel Goldwyn theater in Los Angeles at the Academy of Motion Picture and Science.
