Sly Stone was born Sylvester Stewart  on March 15, 1943 in Denton, Texas.  He was raised in a religious family. By the time he was 7 years old he was playing the keyboards and by 9 the guitar and drums.  He always loved music.  He got his name Sly in grade school when a classmate misspelled his name.  In the early 1960's, Stone worked as a DJ in San Francisco at K-Sol which was later changed to a Soul music station. He also had worked as a record producer and later performed as Sly and the Family Stone. Dance to the Music and Everyday People were two of the groups successful hits. After the huge success things spiraled down due to drugs and mismanagement of money.  Stone once lived in a mansion in Beverly Hills and currently lives in a white van in Crenshaw park in L.A. It was reported that he relies on food from handouts from neighbors.  He is currently 68 years old.

There are 1 in 8  women in America who are fighting breast cancer. On her spare time Ms Hurley spends time on her 400 acre farm that has animals and organic foods.  She said that it is fun to be on the farm and pet the animals in the Summer, but the Winter is very cold and muddy. She grew up in Southern Indiana and was the youngest of 10 kids.  Her father was an alcoholic and was much older than her mother.  Henderson talked about her relationship with the former mayor of NYC, John Lindsay and how she got crabs from him.  The book is a tell all story of her success in the entertainment business.  She is currently 77 years old and looks fabulous.

Fox Signed Video Streaming Deal With Amazon

Fox has teamed up with Amazon to provide  TV shows  for video streaming on Amazon Prime. Some of the Fox TV shows are: Arrested Development, 24, X Files, Ally McBeal, Buffy the Vampire and The Wonder Years.
Amazon Prime charges 79 dollars per year and also gives free 2 day shipping on millions of products.

Moneyball, starring Brad Pitt  came in second after the Lion King, 3-D at the box office.  The reviews for the film were mostly good and some have said that Mr. Pitt's acting was the best it ever has been.  His film, Moneyball opened at 20 million dollars.

He was born on February 7, 1960 in Boston, Massachusetts.  Both of his parents were school teachers.  Spader attended the prestigious Phillips Academy until he dropped out in eleventh grade to attend acting school in NYC.  He went to the Michael Chekhov school and got his first acting gig in 1981 with Brooke Shields in the film, Endless Love.  His fame came  when he was in the teen film, Pretty in Pink.

R.E.M. announced this week that they were breaking up.  The group
has been together since 1980 and released their first single, Radio Free Europe  in 1981.  Michael Stipe and Peter Buck had met in Athens, Georgia when they worked at a record company together.
The group is one of the most successful Indie Rock groups of all time. In 2007 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  It has been reported that the group will be releasing an album  , Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage.  It will feature their greatest hits from 1982-2011.  It is expected to be released in November 2011.
