Martin Scorsese was born in November 1942 in Queens, N.Y.. Both of his parents were actors who originally came from Italy. He studied film at NYU at the famous Tisch School of the Arts. He has been married 5 times. His very first feature film was a black and white film made with fellow student, Harvey Keitel called, First Call which later was called Who's That Knocking at My Door? He also directed: Mean Streets in 1973, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore-1974, Taxi Driver-1976, Raging Bull-1980, Gangs of New York any many more! |

Hollywood Reporter, Martin Scorsese will be remaking the 1974 James Caan Film,
The Gambler. The story about an English professor who has a problem with gambling. There are rumors that Leonardo DeCaprio is a contender for the part that James Caan had. They had worked together for the
Gangs of New York.
