James Spader Steps into "The Office:" Actor replaces Steve Carell

James Spader is the new office manager replacing Steve Carell. He was born on February 7, 1960 in Boston, Massachusetts.  Both of his parents were school teachers.  Spader attended the prestigious Phillips Academy until he dropped out in eleventh grade to attend acting school in NYC.  He went to the Michael Chekhov school and got his first acting gig in 1981 with Brooke Shields in the film, Endless Love.  His fame came  when he was in the teen film, Pretty in Pink.
