This guy The Incomparable Shakespeare is doing some amazing to-the-left hip hop stuff with singer/songwriter/produder Jon Solo. Together, they're known as Mix Mssg. (Three free joints below, one or more of which may appear on the forthcoming #BASTERDS3 mixtape.)
If you aint already know, we can't front on the New York City grimy street ballad. This joint got the honor of being named the first-everRIGHT Song of the Week.
The homie Sha Stimuli stay killing it on the regular, dropping off heaters to tide us over until the next full-length. We stay playing these two newest joints:

Get Your Mind Right: FIRE
If you're at all familiar with GetYourMindRight, you know we are not like most hip hop blogs.
We do not publish every day (hint: subscribing won't bite you in the ass).
Not only do we NOT post trash and apologize for it (don't take it personal), we actually reject 99.9% of the music submitted to us for posting.
And that's NOT because we are elitist -- it's just that we (1) are very busy; (2) take this very personally; and (3) feature a lot more here than traditional 'hip hop' fare.
Every once in a while, however, we do hear a song that, for one reason or another, really sticks with at least one of us. And in those cases, we have featured here Sha Stimuli, Copywrite, dead prez, Crooked I, J the S, yU (Diamond District), Mistah F.A.B., General Steele, and REKS & Ron Artest.)
In continuing that tradition of spreading good music, today we offer new joints from Ivy League-educated emcee Homeboy Sandman, Nigerian-German hip hop/soul singer Nneka (ft. the God Emcee Nas) and NBA basketball player, sometimes rapper and Queensbridge representative Ron Artest. All three songs were leaked in the last week.
Enjoy...
Homeboy Sandman
A tragic, beautiful ballad for an angel, from one of the few emcees you could bring home to dinner...

Born in Nigeria, Nneka relocated some 10,000 miles to Hamburg, Germany, at 19, to pursue a career in singing alongside a degree in Anthropology. Today, she has a critically acclaimed album, a song on the official 2010 FIFA World Cup album and this powerful collaboration with Nas. We should all salute artists like beautiful Nneka, now 28, whose passion, strength and vocal range shine on this remix.

(We here at GetYourMindRight have always held the highest regard for Nas, and this was only heightened after AWKWORD spent a couple hours kicking it with Nas's legendary bluesman father Olu Dara.)
Ron Artest
So, AWKWORD's uncle has known Ron Artest for more than a decade. Dude can play ball. No disputing that. Dude's nuts -- and often dangerous. Unfortunately, no disputing that either. But dude can also spit. I doubted it until I heard this... So I wasn't so surprised when I heard the new one, released June 19, 2010, two days after Artest scored 20 points in his team's NBA Championship game 7 win.
Long time coming, from what I hear -- and Copy's not the only one (or two)... But Copy did it best.
Inspired by the classic battle rap that got this hip hop thing started, Copy takes it far further, getting personal and specific.
Enjoy! I did.

After over a year of trying to work with Mighty Mi to take T.H.E. High Exhaulted off of iTunes and getting no where, Copywrite has finally erupted. Copywrite had approached Milo over a year ago about wanting to re-release his debut album since there was never a formal contract between the two he felt there would be no issue. Milo however felt differently and would not give Copywrite permission to include a couple of the tracks that Milo had done production for on the re-release. Copywrite accepted that but insisted that T.H.E High Exhaulted be taken down off of iTunes and anywhere else Milo might have it for sale. A year later Milo still has not done this. “Poorly Promote This” was born out of Copywrite’s frustration with how Milo and Eon handled the promotion of his first record and the recent chatter that has been heard about him re-releasing his classic debut.
This is what we have come to expect from the revolutionary hip hop duo dead prez... This particular track means a lot to us, due to AWKWORD's mother suffering from late-stage cancer... And, oh yeah, LOL to dead prez "taking over" B.O.B.'s original single... Go cop that dp album when it drops in June!

IN HIS WORDS
It's been so long since hip hop spoke to the problems of the world... Nobody knows what goes on inside of me...
The people in Texas are stressing secession, answer that question / The answer, his complexion, it ain't perplexing / They never wanted to see a black man move America in the right direction / Stop the war and fight recession / I represent for my citizens who don't have a chance, can't afford a dental plan or a ride in an ambulance / For my soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, hope you don't get tortured by the Taliban...
